After sending my application I was asked to do 3 telephone interviews. Each of them was with a Bioinformatician/group leader and took about 30 minutes. There were about 2 weeks between each contact. I also sent a code sample of a C++ data structure that I had implemented. All interviewers addressed software development skills, unit tests, debugging, agile development and teamwork. Even though I felt I had given a good answer to most questions, my application was rejected and I was not invited for an in-person interview in the US.

Had one interview with the hiring manager over Teams. The interview proceeded smoothly with a range of questions, from the technical to the more broad. The person conducting the interview was polite and very qualified.
