I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Lombard, IL) in Mar 2015
Interview
I applied for Universal banker at PNC Bank and was contacted by a recruiter who set up an interview with the branch manager. The interview was very easy and had some of the usual questions of what would you do if…and how would you react to a certain situation.
The interview was supposed to be with the recruiter and/or regional manager however only the branch manager was there. She was very happy with me and noted we would have to interview again when the recruiter or/and regional will be present. I received a generic email from the recruiter stating that there will be an answer regarding my interview within 7 business days.
After a few emails and phone calls to check what is going on without any reply from the recruiter which took 3 weeks, I received an email from the recruiter stating they have decided to go with other candidates. I have received few DONOT reply emails from the recruiter during those 3 weeks stating that he/she is out of office and will return any calls.
So I understand, there was no real consideration on their part and just a poor attempt to cover up their laziness in doing their job which is hire people. For the record, I was over qualified for the position and had accepted an offer from a different (and better) employer by the time the recruiter was ready/willing/not sleeping to wright a one line lazy email. Simply disappointed with how they hire people but it’s their loss!

Interview
After scheduling a brief meetup at nearby Starbucks, we discussed my work history, what made me switch careers, and how my experience would tie into the new position. The interviewers were extremely accommodating to my existing work schedule at the time.
Few days later, I received follow-up phone call from the recruiter offering me the position, which I accepted.

Interview
Very intense, recruiter was a little much . The process itself was fine and the questions were typical. Just felt like it was a demeaning interview almost. Could have been a little better.
