      Quality Assurance Interview

      25 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Horsham, PA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PMRS (Horsham, PA) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Very unprofessional, please actually value all individuals time when they come in for an interview. Lack of communication after the interview, interviewer seemed uninterested to be there. Walking into this type of environment would make anyone feel uncomfortable.

      I interviewed at PMRS

      Interview

I came in to find no receptionist, rang a bell at the front desk, had the CEO / company owner pop out from the open office door next to the front desk, was sat in at a long conference table directly opposite the same CEO. I was then interviewed by this same person, without anyone else interviewing me. Looking out the glass wall behind the interviewer I noticed that everyone seemed to have the same khaki colored pants and light blue colored button up - the same as worn by my interviewer, but obviously different brands from person to person. I did not see any female employees. I was then asked a number questions. Few of the questions were technical in nature. Many of the questions were about my private life, and in my estimate inappropriate. I was then given a chance to ask my interviewer questions. In response to my questions I was told that he is the one and only boss and everyone answers to him and only him - which explained the lack of anyone else present to interview me, and also the quick hustle of people past the glass display wall. I was told that he built the company himself, building included, brick by brick. The irony of the fact that this building is located in an industrial park surrounded by other buildings with an identical vernacular was not lost on me. I was then told that he oversees every function of the company - and routinely shows up and supervises every single function and task being performed there, which is part of the reason that he is there from before 6 in the morning and sometimes earlier, until late into the evening every night. I was told that the expectation is that everyone works very hard and that overtime is often and routinely required - I suspect because building the building individual brick by brick while your micromanaging boss takes the credit sometimes requires that . All in all, it took about an hour and was one of the most uncomfortable, and unpleasant interviews I have ever been a part of.

      Question 1

Tell me about a time you made a difficult decision and how you dealt with the consequences.Tell me about yourself. A number of inappropriate personal probing questions.
