I applied through other source. I interviewed at Out Leadership (New York, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
I had an initial call with the Director of HR, followed by a meeting with the team and finally the CEO. Soon after, I was offered the position. The people I met were all friendly and welcoming. The interview felt more like a conversation between two parties rather than a formal panel interview.

Question 1
How do you handle working with a principal who is away often?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Out Leadership (New York, NY)
Interview
Fast and direct interview process, rounds with department team, and final round with a senior leader of department. Quick turnaround and communicative throughout process. Seems like a lot of emphasis placed on cultural fit.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself? What have you heard about our company? Pretty general Qs
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Out Leadership in Oct 2021
Interview
One of the strangest interview processes I’ve ever had. I was originally told it would be a 3 stage process. Then it became 4, then 5, back to 4, then canceled entirely.
The final interview was with the bulk of the team, over Zoom. Which went very well, every interview did. Everyone seemed very nice. I had every reason to expect an offer. I was planning around it. But then I was told I was to meet with the CEO. The meeting was rescheduled twice. Then I was asked if I could come to the CEO’s apartment the next week. (???) After some careful questions, I found out the CEO wanted me to meet the whole team, again, in person, in the middle of the work day. During a pandemic. I explained that since I’m already working full time, I can’t take the afternoon off to go to his apartment(didn’t even know where it was to know travel time). Soon after, the 1on 1 with the CEO was canceled, and I was told by the Marketing Director that the hiring was being put “on pause”, though “everyone had nice things to say” about me. I asked what that meant and got no response. A few weeks later, I saw the position posted again on LinkedIn. I emailed again to ask if the process had resumed, no answer.
I assume that the CEO was offended that I wasn’t willing to risk my current job on the off chance of getting an offer, and rather than be an adult, decided to ghost me. I’ve seen this behavior before. So many companies think they’re the only job you’re going for, and every applicant should be willing to jump them hoops to prove how much they want it. No thanks. The least they could do is let me know that they just didn’t want to hire me. Wish I had read these company reviews first. Seems like this is normal for them.
I also find it suspect that they are all about LGBTQ workers, but the one non-binary person who shows any backbone gets treated like trash. Really no better than any other typical company I’ve seen.
