I applied through university. I interviewed at Onshape (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Had a mostly technical onsite where I talked with a few different engineers, had a tour of the office, and chatted with other potential interns who were applying. Overall a very pleasant experience. I didn't end up accepting but I had a very good impression. This was a long time ago (~2016)

Question 1
ME Statics/Structures course midterm-style question deriving equations for pressure/area given a particular loading situation of a structure, etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Onshape (Boston, MA) in Jul 2022
Interview
It was actually a nice round of interviews up until I got to the third round. The person conducting the interview just seemed over it from the beginning. When I asked the question if they had any concerns, the response was - everyone seems to be asking that question lately - which was a disappointing response to get. When I asked for feedback, I got zero and was ghosted after several attempts.

Question 1
Do you feel you can contribute to a team environment even though you are remote?

Interview
They use whiteboard and paper to write code. They do not focus too much on Data structure and Algorithms like big tech, they focus on implementation details. First will be an easy phone interview, then they ask specific problems like Front end and back end and ood and java knowledge, I will not tell the exact problem but they are tricky for me.
