I was asked by the HR about my previous employers, why I left, the nature of my job. She seemed to not have a good grasp of the different industries here in the Philippines and was just throwing in random questions to sound smart.
The office was a mess of people walking around, papers everywhere, very noisy and disorganized. It was not a professional setting.
The recruiter seemed unprepared and in a hurry. She seemed very disorganized and scatter-brained and not dressed professionally.
5 minutes into the interview, she was already rudely implying that she did not want to hire me as my expertise are merely lead generation for sales and not end-to-end, despite of my experience in Financial and Budget Planning, Strategy, Government Taxation and having an MBA. She was talking to me as if looking down on me and my achievements, I wanted to leave at this point.
At the corner of my eye, I saw a guy taking the written exam for the same position I was applying for. He stood up and left, mid-exam.
I was given a mathematics exam, anyway. I did not finish the exam, stood up, and walked away because I knew right then and there I did not want to work for this company.
