Interview process was easy. I applied through LinkedIn and eventually got call from HR. HR discussed basic details and scheduled my interview.
Interview happened on time and as per schedule, and that's where I got disappointed.
I was a 10+ years candidate. Having worked across various domains in linux like platform development, Virtualization, cloud development, storage.
Interview started and I was able to quickly recognize it is someone not from the hiring team.
To my surprise the person started and stuck to questions that anyone would ask to college passout. Trees, linklist etc...
It is often the case that people grow in experience and explore newer things, the concepts remains with them but writing studious code gets left behind. Same was the case with me.
My disappointment was there was no discussion of the role, skills nothing.
And if that was the case HR must have informed me that first round be a basic coding round around data structures.
