I applied through university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Cambridge, MA) in Oct 2015
Interview
Got the interview through campus recruiting, met with two managers talking about two different fields, mechanical engineering and software engineer. I expected the two-on-one format to be challenging, but they were both very nice. Mostly personality questions, which is to be expected for an intern, was offered a follow up interview, presumably a technical one.
They contacted me for an in person interview and then asked me leet code style questions. After the interview I heard back from a recruiter who set up another phone call with me
I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Huntsville Park, AL)
Interview
Technical questions and behavioral questions (STAR formatting) with the normal what draws you to work for us. Microsoft Teams meeting with a panel to review answers. Took roughly 1 hour and it was a very straightforward and easily made process.
Formal, not too stressful. Ensures you understand the basics and thay you know what you're talking about as you may be getting interviewed by somebody that's technical at some point.
