I applied online. I interviewed at Nixa.io in Oct 2020
Interview
I had an hour-long interview (easy to average questions) followed by almost two weeks of radio silence. Then, the team followed up with me and asked that I write a sample article of 800 words, which took me approx. 4 hours to complete.
I received an email a few days later saying that the company chose to go with another candidate with no additional feedback. I sent two replies asking for more specific feedback/areas for personal improvement and have received no reply nearly two weeks later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. What is your personal writing style?
2. Do you prefer to have a structured brief or open-ended prompt when writing content?
3. What is your content creation/delivery process?
Hackerrank test with two algorithms and one SQL question.
I got rejected, although I scored nearly 90%, which is ridiculous.
Obviously, they only proceed with a candidate that submits all of the answers with a 100% pass rate. Questions were not tricky, but if you're not in shape for solving algorithms, you probably won't have enough time to complete all the questions with the 100% test pass rate.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nixa.io (Kraków) in Jan 2020
Interview
I was asked to take 2h long online test. In the mock test I faced technical issues that didn't let me upload my solution. After I contacted the company, I was told that everything should work fine in the main test. Unfortunately the same technical issues appeared in the main test and I was not able to upload my solution to 50% questions. I decided to contact Nixa again and I attached my test solution zipped. After few days the company answered that despite their unsolved technical issue, they can't check my code because of "objectivity". As a solution I was offered... a chance to retake the same online test, and struggle with the same technical issues. Insane. The communication with the company was horrible. After all I wasted over 2 hours trying to solve their test and I received no support in their technical issues.

One question was to fix the broken app, the second one was to write a function that will split filtered items into pages, several items per page.
