The interview process was pretty standard. The hiring manager reached out to me to go over the role and the responsibilities the hiring manager is looking for. After the chat about my background, we set up a call with the hiring manager. Hiring manager call was easy to average, nothing dissimilar to the regular behavioral interviews that you see across the board.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself? How do you feel about Pokemon Go right now?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Niantic (Seattle, WA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Initial call with a recruiter, followed by a call with people on the team I would be working for. Then they flew me to SF for approximately 3 hours of interviews and a lunch at their SF office. After that there was an interview with an exec.
The office visit was great. The final interview was really hard. I thought it was just going to be about cultural fit, but it was asking me to do big scale design work on the fly.
