Two phone screens - one with a recruiter, another with the CMO. I was invited for an onsite. They put me in this huge, excessively warm office and I met with two people, the hiring manager and then a video call with the CMO. On my way out I was told by the recruiter that they would be in touch early the next week (this was a Thursday, so seemingly Monday/Tuesday). Not only did she not reach out the next week, they never bothered to reach out at all. Really an unpleasant and rude way to treat someone who has accommodated your company with three interviews. I understand they are a startup and move quickly but it takes mere minutes to fire off a rejection email.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Niantic
Interview
Had an agency recruiter reach out about a role available and ended up interviewing.
First round was with the Hiring Manager, second round was holistic, four 30minute interviews with cross-functional team members. Third round was with the head of department and the regional head.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Niantic (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2022
Interview
Went through 3 rounds of interviews - made it to the final round and was "ghosted." Had to follow up 2 weeks later only to find out I wasn't selected. No hard feelings, just wish the communication was better especially for candidates.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Niantic
Interview
One of the best recruiting experiences I've had so far. Everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Make sure you have a strong answer for "Why Niantic?" and can explain how your previous experience aligns with the job you're interviewing for.
