      Game Designer (Gameplay Scripter Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Naughty Dog in Dec 2018

      Interview

A Gameplay Scripter interview at Naughty Dog is what I would expect out of a Gameplay Programmer role at any other company. However, this is not a negative as it shows that Naughty Dog holds its applicants to a high standard. I got an e-mail from a recruiter and we scheduled a technical phone screen for the following week. The call lasted an hour and had questions involving 3D math, programming, and experiences with scripting things. At the end of the interview, the person who interviewed me said I should wait a few weeks to hear back, but I got an automated rejection e-mail the next day. I learned a lot from the interview and I would advise anyone who applies to be a scripter at Naughty Dog to prepare to be challenged.
