I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at NCG Hospitality (Scottsdale, AZ) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was called and had a short 3 question phone interview with the gm. I then came in to interview with the gm in person. He asked very hotel specific questions. Making sure I knew what I was talking about. a couple days after that I had a phone interview with the operations manager. She asked harder questions then the gm. they were vague and required a lot of verbal dancing to answer.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a guest.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NCG Hospitality (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in May 2014
Interview
I saw the position advertised and followed an instruction to apply online. It's tricky! If you want to include a cover letter, you must attach it to your resume and upload them both as one document. the actual uploading did not work properly so only the registration portion of my application got through. After correcting this part I received a voice message to call to schedule a phone interview.
I spoke with a Human Resources Generalist who conducted the phone interview at the time scheduled. The interview was well done, professional, polite and thorough. At the conclusion was told that the interview notes would be forwarded to the hiring manager (in this case the property GM).

Question 1
It was not so much a question as revelation of fact. I told the interviewer that because of a brain injury sustained about 2 years ago I am not able to see well enough to drive (either myself or other people). I use public transportation to and from whenever I go anywhere. Schedules are not a problem though they are sometimes tough. At this point the interviewer told me that the GM in question while looking for a right-hand-man for the hotel because he was finding it difficult to do the job alone, really needed a shuttle driver for when the scheduled shuttle driver called off.
What was the follow up like? I wrote thank you note to the interviewer right away. I received a reply to say the interview notes had been passed on. May 01.
