I participated in Motive's rigorous 6-round interview process earlier this year, which required significant time and effort. Throughout the process, I received positive feedback at every stage and was eventually extended a written job offer, conditional upon providing two references.
I promptly supplied the requested references, both of whom highlighted my strong sales skills and proven track record. However, one of the references, when prompted by Motive, provided a single piece of critical feedback. Motive then requested a third reference, which I also provided, ensuring it was thorough and supportive.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback from my references, the offer was withdrawn due to that single critical remark. This decision not only felt disproportionate but also demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for the extensive effort candidates put into such a lengthy process.
I would caution future candidates about investing time with Motive, as my experience left me questioning their hiring practices and overall commitment to a fair and respectful process.
