I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (London, England)
Interview
Quick and quite enjoyable, there were three rounds.
First round was a phone screen, the interviewer seemed to shoot random questions ranging from extremely basic python to Linux kernel and tried to drill down where you seemed to know things.
Second round was onsite. Three session of 45-60 minutes, two with duos of random people from the broader team and one with the hiring manager. Pretty much all questions were about relevant things from my CV - docker, k8s, networking, linux. Large part of one session was coding on paper, except instead of algorithmic questions they were mostly about Python itself (e.g. explain decorators). The hiring manager focused on a single problem about configuration management and evolved it as I answered.
Third round was a generic HR interview, supposed to be onsite but due to a sudden unavailability of the interviewer we conducted it a day later over the phone. These were standard rather inconsequential questions like "How did you resolve a conflict within your team previously?"
Overally a really good experience, however the background check (after accepting the offer) took almost 2 months.

They asked me to explain how I automated a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and integrated it with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. They were particularly interested in how I handled rollbacks and deployment failures.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Feb 2023
Interview
Received an email asking for availability to schedule the interview. Scheduled and had a technical interview with the hiring manager via zoom. He sat in a dark room wearing a hoodie, cursed, and talked badly about MS culture, while giving the details of the job that were completely unrelated to the job description. Proceeded to condescendingly ask system administration questions rather than devops, and went well over time. Incredibly unprofessional, clearly not the place anyone should want to work.
