I applied online. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
Most of the experience was fine except for one gatekeeping interviewer from the UK who insisted on asking the definitions of very basic things, then interrupted to argue with the definition in a pedantic way. I have 20 years experience in the very niche field for the role. No way to actually share experience or had a meaningful conversation. It was exhausting, belittling, and quite off-putting that someone like that could be an interviewer. Waste of an opportunity and a good match.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Sept 2019
Interview
When I got to the interview, the interviews were delayed because of earlier back-ups. I didn't get to interview until about 1.5 hours after my time. My interview was about 70 minutes, and ask questions regarding risks and controls, ways to mitigate, and also generic behavioral questions. The lady was very nice and I thought the interview went great, but I'm sure there were other great candidates as well.
