I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
Pretty standard interview process. First round was questions about myself, a few behaviorals, and then fit, though I did get one "think through a situation" question. Super day was composed of a number of technicals and brain teasers interspersed with behaviorals and fit. Everyone I met was great, from the interviewers to the recruiters, who were SO LOVELY, especially compared to some other firms' HR people. They were all really easy to talk to. I'd say focus on making it a conversation instead of just trying to answer questions and get out. I had superdays with JP and Goldman as well and didn't have half the experience I did at MS, so definitely get to know the people! They really are the firm's biggest asset.
I applied online. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in May 2025
Interview
It is a very structured first round. i expected it to be very hard at first. However, it is very competitive so it makes sense that not everyonce can advance to the second round.
30-minute phone call made by analyst, not an alum from my uni. Called 10 minutes before set time. Mostly behavioral with the exception of 2 simple technical questions and one brain teaser.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
It was great, I think that I did not have enough structure and was very stressed. However, I did not too much about the role and I think that factor played a huge part in the interview.
