The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meta in Apr 2021
Interview
In my experience, FB had the best interview process I’d ever encountered. Lots of opportunities for preparation and feedback with the recruiters, incredibly responsive and quick to continue to next steps.
There are 3 stages with a few different parts, some that repeat. Expect to do a phone screen, portfolio presentation, app critique, whiteboarding challenge and background/behavioral interview. Highly recommend meeting with your recruiter for a dry run as they do provide good insight into what to expect and what to focus on.
For app critique I didn’t actually get to pick my app. Not sure if it was because they were trying to check my level, but it was a fun experience regardless.
My entire process lasted about 2-3 months, with some being me wanting to have more prep time.
The recruiter is very supportive. First round is a deck presentation. Second round is full loop: deck+ BQ+ whiteboard+ app critique. The Overall experience is good, it takes around a whole month
Straightforward like any big tech interview, but long and intense. Formats are pretty standardized so it just takes practice. Questions appear like it's from a bank, so if you're prepared you should be fine.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta
Interview
I was reached out by a recruiter. Started with the recruiter call, then portfolio presentation, then full loop (Portfolio presentation - app critique - design challenge - background). They had very strong emphasis on design craft and visual excellence. Recruiter who helped me prep was very nice and helpful.
