Im highly disappointed with the interviewing process at MetLife.
I had an initial phone screening on the first week of October, and was told that day that I would have my final interview with the hiring manager two weeks later on October 25.
However, by October 25, I did not get the ZOOM link for the meeting, and so I emailed the woman who did my phone screening. She emailed me back and apologized, and I received a call from the hiring team that day. The gentleman told me that the hiring manager was not in office that day, and that I’ll have to look out for an email within that same week concerning the new date, time, and ZOOM link.
I waited that whole week and this past week, to no avail. Nobody sent me anything, and they had my email address. I emailed the lady who did the initial phone screening, and she responded by saying that the position has already been filled.
I find this to be completely unfair because I dedicated much of my time preparing for the interview process, and making sure everything went well throughout the process. However, there were many mistakes on MetLife’s end concerning the interview process, which led me to not having a fair shot.
Of course, everyone’s experiences may vary, so take this with a grain of salt. In fact, I hope that if you apply, that your interview process goes well. But I just wanted to share my experience in order to warn you of this being a possibility for you.
Thank you,
-Angel
