Merck Data Insights Developer interview questions

The interview process felt somewhat disorganized. I was emailed directly by a hiring manager who scheduled a 1 hour interview with 4 members of the team (one was a no show). The questions were not very technical and mostly centered on my relevant experience. After the interview I scheduled another with the missing team member, who I found out was the actual hiring manager for the specific role I had applied to. During our meeting she surprised me by asking a lot of questions that seemed pretty unrelated to the job description as it was written/as it had been explained to me in my previous interview. Following this interview I was ghosted for about a month before getting a rejection email. Overall everyone was nice enough, but I do feel like they wasted my time due to disorganization and miscommunication. It felt like they didn't really know what they were looking for - the direction for the team/for the specific role was not very clear.
