I applied online. I interviewed at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) in Aug 2025
Interview
Got an invite to an HR screen 1-2 days after I applied, which was efficient, but it was a truly bizarre HR screening call. The person I talked to clearly had no background in the subject matter - they put words in my mouth about my skills & expertise that I did not say and were not an accurate reflection of me. They also said that the salary range isn't accurate and they don't pay above the midpoint (...why set unrealistic expectations by posting something that you would never offer??). They said they'd get back to me in a couple days but I never heard anything again, even after following up. Finally got a stock rejection after 4 or 5 weeks. I wouldn't apply here again after that experience, really off-putting and not an indication of a good work environment.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) in Sept 2021
Interview
This was the most pain-free interview process I’ve been through! I first had a video call with the department director to get a better understanding of the role, company, culture, etc., and then had a virtual interview with the management team just a few days later.
I was given a timeline for each stage of the process and kept in the loop the whole way through. When I received an offer, I got a phone call directly from HR and was given all pertinent details.
For someone as organized and type-A as myself, it was a great experience.

Question 1
One question example is if I leaned more toward the data or creative side of marketing. The department is divvied up pretty well according to your strong suits.

Interview
Received a prompt email back to schedule a phone interview the day after I applied. Spoke with a recruiter and scheduled for the following day at 1pm with another person. Never received a phone call back from the interviewer and never heard from the recruiter who scheduled the interview. The only communication to me was a standard email saying they moved forward with another candidate.
