2 interviwers. The lady was very unprofessional & poor interview ettique. Well, her purpose was to be intimidating, but it turned out too be a bully session from the get go.
Knew something was amiss when the recruiter kept calling (3times), repeating & emphasizing that their interviews are very brutal so we need to be very prepared. Reason being they want the best talent (well, it sounded fair to me, so no big deal there). They will 'put on a show & won't smile, especially the lady head' all for the sake of testing the candidate.
Well, there is a fine line between brutal interviews for the sake of finding the right fit & being plainly rude and stripping them from a decent amount of respect. She will cut you off halfway without apologising when you are still trying to explain yourself. When you are confident, she will blatantly and pridefully said you are arrogant. It was so unprofessional! From her body language, to her facial expressions, to her tonality and her poor choices of words.
Clearly, for someone of a head 'level', she should have known what she is getting herself into just by agreeing to be an interviewer. For someone who is heading a team of coaches & trainings, she clearly did not potray those qualities to intervieews. How is maximus going to help others, when your own programme head is sending all the wrong messages to an outsider? Even if its for the sake of 'acting', she is allowed to do all that?Had she no respect of our time & effort to attend the interview to understand about the position & maximus?
Maximus SG preached, they believe in helping the community by partnering them to improve their employability. Well, no point having a head who might be good with internal staff/clients but fail to show the same level of respect, compassion & empathy to outsider's even though we were just interviewing with maximus or given wrong answers or 'rubbed' the interviwer the wrong way. Are we not the community too? Cliché & Unprofessional!
