There was no interview process when I started back in 2012. I just had to fill out a quick questionnaire and ask some questions to a current publisher who was very helpful..

Are you involved in the community? Do you have children? Why do you want to be a publisher? What skills do you have?
After a pre-screening, the interview was scheduled via zoom. It was personalized, fun, and engaging. I had a great time in this interview, and didn't feel pressured at all. Every question I asked, was answered!

There was a question and answer form I filled out and it was sent to Macaroni Kid National. It was very simple and straight forward. Almost not an interview process at all.
