I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MITRE
Interview
Great initial contact by the HR recruiter, but the experience pivoted south after that. The link to join the formal interview required a program install that was not disclosed ahead of time, so be aware. The interviewer gave me the option to keep my camera off, but seemed obviously annoyed when I turned it on for a more personable experience. The interviewer keyed on distant jobs in my past insisting I was looking for a role like that, despite clear demonstration, by work and education, of having evolved and grown into more challenging and rewarding and senior positions. I did not receive an offer, but I would have declined if they would have offered because the interview experience.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MITRE (Colorado Springs, CO) in Feb 2013
Interview
A very pleasant experience. It started with a phone interview, followed by a 5 hour in-person interview, which included a 1 hour technical presentation. Each of the people I interviewed with were helpful and engaging. It was not an antagonistic interview at all.

Question 1
The one hour presentation was the most challenging part of the interview, but also the most enjoyable.
