I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Orangeburg, SC) in Jun 2021
Interview
Quick. I had a few calls with the Recruiter then with Store Management (Assistant Manager along with actual Store Manager). Went very smoothly. Process from start to finish-3 weeks. Not bad.

Question 1
Situational Questions. Very basic. Nothing too difficult.
The interview process was pretty straight forward and required the typical prep for a interview. I would recommend focusing on responses showing positive leadership qualities or team oriented projects achievements.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to deal with a outraged customer, how did you handle the situation.
Interviewer was not really qualified for interviewing. They didn’t know anything about the home improvement industry. They just spewed out drivel to get through the interview. They couldn’t answer my questions. The interviewer was a poor representative for Lowes. He conducted hisself as a subpar employee; not qualified in an HR position.. Is this person a representation of the quality large chain retailers are hiring now? Perhaps the culture is bad and pay is too low.
