Interview
Phone screen, tour of facility, panel interview (3 separate days). HR was great and thorough. After phone screen i was emailed an invite to tour a facility with a manager. First I sat with the HR rep and discussed the process of the tour, then was handed off to a general manager. We walked the store and discussed general business operations etc. then I was emailed an invitation to a panel interview. I followed up with HR and asked a few questions on what to expect. At that point they realized I had not been sent the email with prep instruction. I arrived the day of the panel interview and waited for the HR rep, she then informed me that the sales Director was ill and wouldn’t be attending. It was just the HR rep and two GM’s. They asked a battery of predetermined questions: my successes, where I had taken feedback and used it in a positive way, scenario questions on guiding employees, dealing with poor performance, etc. they seemed very enthusiastic about their company and were very happy there. Three days later I sent a thank you email and the HR rep replied that I wouldn’t be offered the position at this time. The HR asked if they could give some feedback. This was awesome as I would’ve asked for it if they hadn’t offered. They requested that they call me the next day. Disappointingly, they never followed through with the feedback call or even shot me an email to cancel.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Living Spaces (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2017
Interview
Initial interview with the recruiter. She seemed great and had some great company insight to share. She helped prep me for the panel interview that would be scheduled within a couple of days. I arrived early for the panel interview and then had to wait almost an hour to be seen as "something came up" and had to be handled. Being experienced in retail I absolutely understood. The panel interview was ok. The HR person didn't seem interested. One GM kept whispering to the HR manager after I would answer questions. The other GM seemed distracted the whole time. Not much insight given regarding the company and what they were looking for even though I did ask. After the interview I was told that I would be receiving a follow up call from the recruiter. She called me and asked how it went. She then explained that they've put the hiring process on hold due to the regional being out on leave. I sent two additional email follow ups over the span of a month and received no response. They missed out on a great asset by not hiring me. That part is fine and I understand that I won't always be offered a position. However to mislead candidates and the lack of follow up is unprofessional and telling of the type of environment and company that it is. My last email I withdrew my interest in the company.
