I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Dec 2021
Interview
I had three rounds of interviews with different stakeholders. The third interview was with a person in the UK and she didn’t join the call. After waiting for a while, and reaching out to the interview coordinator we were able to connect later that date.
Everything looked fine and hoped to get a call back for another interview in January.
Nobody ever contacted again, not even with a thank you note.
The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Feb 2010
Interview
I was contacted for a phone interview within a couple of days of completing their on-line application. The phone screen was rescheduled several times due to conflicts with the HR manager's schedule. The HR manager was 20 minutes late calling me, because another interview had run over. The HR manager was critical of the types of companies that I have worked for and was not understanding of the fact that I had been laid off a couple of times during my career, even though I was let go due to economic reasons, and not performance ones. The person made comments like "those industries sound really boring" and "boy, you really know how to pick them." The ad included the salary range, so when the person asked how much I was looking for, I was told it was "too much." When I pushed back and said that the ad had included the salary range, the person said that this information was not to have been included in the job description! Other than the fact that I learned that the position I was applying for had basically been a revolving door, I was furious to be asked for writing samples, only to receive a "no-thank-you-dear-applicant-letter" within 30 seconds of my emailing them over! This person didn't even show them to the hiring manager and had made the decision for me not to move onto the next step.
