I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Korn Ferry in Oct 2022
Interview
I was working on an account as a Recruiter for an RPO with a F100 client. A Human Resources Generalist recommended me to transition to Korn Ferry to stay on the account. It started as a typical process. There was a screening call where they asked about my availability to start, compensation expectations, etc. The recruiter that screened me said everything sounded great and set me up for an interview with a VP of the RPO division. This is when it got weird. The VP started with saying that he believes I'm a great recruiter as I came highly recommended and, as such, had no questions for me regarding my recruiting experience. He then spoke about himself for ten minutes and then asked if I had any questions, which of course I did. He couldn't answer a single question and ultimately he admitted he wouldn't be working with the account at all. Keep in mind this was an interview to essentially keep doing what I've been doing for years. I received a call a week later only after reaching out for feedback that they told me they weren't bringing me on with the only reason being compensation, which was cleared during the screening. No counter or inquiry whether I was flexible.
Felt like the interviewer was busy and didn't want to be there.
Told me they have a strict budget for this role (very low and pretty unliveable) - if there is a strict budget why is this not added to the job ad, it wastes both the interviewer and interviewee's time.
Told me they would get back to me and never did.

It was a great experience. The briefing was very thorough, and they were very professional, they have asked your experience, including specific examples and a time you faced failure? What did you learn from that experience?
