I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kalisher (Carrboro, NC) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied via email and within a week received a request for a phone interview. The scheduled phone interview was postponed once (understandable), but rescheduled while the interviewer would be driving - I found this worrying as I felt the interviewer would be distracted - luckily, we found a more appropriate time. The interview itself went splendidly - I was made to feel very comfortable with personal questions and banter, while also being challenged with good questions about my background, experience, and knowledge of the company. We spoke for more than an hour. A few days later I received a request for an in-person interview at their headquarters. This was more intense as I met with groups of people throughout the day, lunch with the CEO, and finally one on ones with the COO and Principle. A very good range of questions, challenges, possible scenarios, and information... some groups were relaxed and comfortable, others were inquisitive and penetrating... a really good balance of employees that obviously were invested in the company. Five days later I received an offer which I excepted.

Describe your most challenging professional experience in regards to leadership and how you navigated it. Did you succeed? Why or why not? What would you do differently today?

Interview
Quick response to initial resume submission (within 24-48 hours). Great questions geared towards truly assessing my capability for the desired position. Followed up twice on decision. Heard back once. No final decision. Lots of companies do this, but it’s nice to close the loop on whether or not you’re the chosen candidate.
