I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Janou Pakter (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
The interview was very straight forward, no difficult questions. Mostly discussing your experience and how you can add value to the role. Had a second interview with HR and the company founder. Had a very pleasant conversation. People are very professional and friendly.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Janou Pakter (New York, NY) in May 2014
Interview
I had two interviews and met with senior management. They were all super smart and nice people and the conversations went very well. Loved the environment and culture.
The office dog came to greet me while I was waiting at reception area.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Janou Pakter (New York, NY) in Mar 2015
Interview
The actual interviewing process was average. I enjoyed the company of the team members I met with and their questions were fair and reasonable. My issue was they strung my candidacy along and were inconsistent with communication and relaying basic status update information. The recruiter that had introduced me to the company would literally just not respond to my inquiries when they were basic inquiries such as 'can you please relay background info regarding what the CEO of the company would like to discuss with me, so I can best prepare myself and the information going to be covered'. The last conversation I had was with the Director where he told me that 'I am going to give you a call on Thursday of next week and we will be PREPARED TO GIVE YOU AN OFFER'. I never heard back from anyone. When I required to the recruiter who had recruited me for the role about the status, I never received a response. The least an organization can do is be dignified and respectful of people's investment of time, and be transparent and honest about something as routine as their interest level. If you're just not that into me, that is actually totally fine, but please disclose that information so I can learn more about myself (ie how I can improve) and also close the chapter on that story. Throughout the entire interview process they seemed to almost oversell me on how ethically sound the character of the company was and how they were not like 'every other' agency out there, so I felt confident that I was allotting time and effort into a professional venture that could potentially be an incredibly optimal opportunity for both my personal and professional life. I have interviewed quite a bit, and I actually have NEVER been treated this way... To ghost a candidate is at the least, unprofessional and petty.
