      Senior Dev Manager Interview

      2 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Intuit (Bengaluru) in Jan 2018

      Interview

I would say this qualifies as one of the worst interview experience I had, where I exited the interview without knowing what the expecation was. Process started with the recruiter giving a case study to prepare and was told to clarify any doubts. Prepared for 2 days and asked few clarifications, response was - the case study has changed and please prepare for this new case study! Case study says "Your assignment is to be ready to discuss the following" along with explicitly calling out the assumptions. Again spent few days preparing for the case study, listing out the assumptions made. Panel showed up 5 mins late and went thru' the presentation, stressing on completing the presentation in time! At the end of presentation, debrief was done, questioning the assumptions made, including the assumption of why the whole problem has to be solved in the first place!!! One senior person in the panel gave the 'judgement' when there were 3 other members were present. Didn't see any consultation with the panel when it was others who quizzed on the case study. Panel left mentioning they will update HR but after waiting for 15 mins, realized that it wasn't happening. Had to call HR person myself to get out of the place. Overall, pathetic experience for interview of a senior position and wasted close to a week in preparations. And from a company noted to be a #1 employer! Watch out for their case study trap - you will come out not knowing what the expectation was when you thought case study clearly stated the expectation.
