I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Insight Global (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2012
Interview
I was contacted through LinkedIn by their corporate recruiter. After having a phone conversation with him, my interest was peaked and I really wanted to further explore the opportunity. I eventually was able to purchase a plane ticket and set up an interview. I called my recruiter before my interview and he told me to ask questions and be energetic.
I arrived at the location, had to use the telephone to let someone know I was there, was taken to a room and waited for a while. Finally the Sales Manager came in.
I must say I was extremely disappointed in this interview process. The sales manager spent approximately 5 minutes with me. He asked where I was from and asked me to tell him about myself. Then he said he was going to have a few other people come talk to me and that I should ask them questions.
Well two more people came in (at seperate times) and asked me if I had any questions for them. I asked multiple questions about how they came to work there, how they progressed, what their challenges were, what they thought was the best triat that had made them successful etc.... and they rambled on and on to answer all of my questions. So.... I listened intently and took notes. DON'T DO THAT!! I later learned that apparently they want you to talk as much as you can. However, I was not given a chance to because they talked the entire time until they said do you have any other questions and I'd ask another.
Before I knew it, the second girl was telling me that is all they have for me today and I was confused because they had not asked me any questions to get to know me, my personality, or my capabilities other than where are you from, did you play sports, where did you go to college. I felt really deceived after leaving because I felt like I didn't even get the chance to talk.
My advice, don't try to be polite and wait for them to finish. Interject with comments as much as possible and be as conversational as you can possibly be.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They really didn't ask much other than where are you from, where did you go to college. They expected you to ask all the questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Hartford, CT) in Dec 2024
Interview
The interview process was relatively easy and the people were nice. Sales managers seemed very serious and often standoffish. Their employees were extremely welcoming and seemed to like where they worked.

Interview
Very long and in depth. Initial call with recruiter who helps and prepares you along the way for the rest of the interviews. Most were longer, an hour+, then final was in person.
