I was contacted on Linkedin. Total of 4 interviews, with one involving a presentation and a bit of pre work. 2 were with the hiring manager, 1 with HR and 1 with the director of dept. The process was ok, if a bit time consuming. For every interview, my interviewer joined late (which they were apologetic about, but I couldn’t help but think about the shoe being on the other foot and the impression it would give.) I didn’t understand the value of the HR interview, because the rep talked about themselves for near enough 30 minutes, meaning we had to extend the session so I could ask questions. Some of the questions I was asked in my last interview with the director were surprising also, especially after after having had 3 interviews already, a bit repetitive. After putting in 5+ hours (inclusive of assessment prep and putting presentation together) I then had to chase to see what was happening after not hearing anything for nearly 2 weeks after my final interview, which was disappointing. No offer made is fine of course, but it was sad to have to chase for a response after committing a lot of time to the process. Hopefully others won’t find the same!
