I first spoke to the recruiter, then went through several rounds of interviews thereafter. I get the sense that Harbor Freight doesn't hire or promote many women, because all of my seven interviewers were male.
I was disappointed in the interview process early on because one of my first interviewers was extremely rude and condescending, but stuck the process out because I kept being moved along. I got the impression that they don't have a very positive company culture, so if that's something that is important to you, dig in and ask questions surrounding it.
The interview process was only difficult in that it was long. Overall, I was impressed by the timely feedback that I received from recruiting after each interview, but had hesitations about joining the merchant team after interacting with them.
