      Business Analyst Interview

      18 Sept 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at HUB International in Jul 2023

      Interview

I talked to their recruiter through email, then had a virtual interview with the hiring manager. After this, there was a second and third interview, each with other senior people I'd be working with. All of them were friendly and polite and asked the kinds of questions you'd expect.

      Question 1

There were questions about strength & weaknesses, job experience, career vision, and what I would do on day one of the job.

      Business Analyst Interview

      19 Nov 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Windsor, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HUB International (Windsor, ON) in Nov 2022

      Interview

Poor hiring process and quite an unprofessional experience. (BE READY TO BE GHOSTED) 1. Got a text message from recruiter John B. to schedule an initial call. 2. On the first call, the position was discussed in detail, as well as my experience and what is my knowledge about their operations. 3. In a day or two, I had to schedule a call with the Hiring Manager Grant B. 4. During the second call on a given Tuesday, more details about the position and their need were discussed as well as my profile, work experience, tools & technical abilities, reason to change, other interests were discussed. There were some textbook situational questions as well. 5. I was informed that I shall know the decision by end of that week or early next week. 6. I followed up on Monday (after 7 days) to get an update for which they responded after a day, that the interviews have concluded and I shall get to know the decision very soon. 🚩 7. I again followed up (email to HM & texted recruiter) after 14 days of my interview to get an update. Neither the Hiring Manager responded, nor the recruiter. 🚩🚩 8. Finally, I called their office on the 17th day to talk to the recruiter. He maybe off his desk or busy or just didn't want to have this conversation with me so I had to leave a voicemail. 9. Got a standard rejection email template from the recruiter after 5 hours. No communication from HM as he might have been busy. 10. I've sent a request to know the reason of rejection. (I'd be lucky to get a response to this) My opinion on their process: It seemed to me that no one wanted to take the responsibility to have the awkward conversation of candidate rejection or maybe it is the case that they themselves are not aware about how long their process will last. Either way, they badly need someone to streamline this particular area because proper communication must be there on every stages. Hopefully someone takes note of this so that other candidates don't have to go through this.
