      Interview

Got a request for a phone call screening. Scheduled the screening, and never heard back from the recruiter, despite multiple follow ups. The recruiter canceled the phone screening 15 minutes into the screening and rescheduled with no apology or request to reschedule for 4 hours later. Which caused me to have to take a half day off work as opposed to simply showing up late. Phone call was with some random algorithm questions as a screening. Got asked what's 2^24. I showed how to break down the question into simpler, easier solved problems, that can be multiplied together and the interview kinda sat there expecting me to legitimately come up with a number that's over 10 million. Got a follow up email a couple days later that I'd have a phone call. She told me that she'd give me 2 weeks to prepare for it and provided recommendations for studying. A day later she sent me an email requesting I schedule by the end of the week, on a Thursday. I followed up with asking she meant Friday or next week, as well as some questions because she posted the job description of a completely unrelated job. Radio silence for a week despite giving her my availability. Suddenly, I got contacted by her and another recruiter stating that recruiter would take over and then proceeded to schedule the phone interview for a date I openly stated I wasn't available. After requesting another reschedule for the days I am available, a couple days later I got an email from a third recruiter, with her cc'd requesting my availability again and that the interview would be in Mountain View instead of Asia as originally anticipated. After providing my availability, they again scheduled for a time I was no available, but I decided to just knock some things off my schedule because this was becoming time consuming. The phone interview was not an algorithm coding test, it was purely a brainteaser. It was something that could only be solved with brute force and had a lot of hidden conditions. The interview was kind of smug the whole time. Cut me off at the end and talked about himself for about 20 minutes despite me never asking him any questions about any of it. Received a rejection email a few days later, despite Google's policy being to schedule a phone discussion.

      Question 1

It doesn't matter because it's very unlikely you'll get this question, as this interviewer is the only person who asks it, and I'm literally only the 2nd person on leetcode to check the box for any company.
