      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Google DeepMind (London, England)

      Interview

8-10 rounds. I pulled out after 7th/8th. Good things: - Communication with HR team was streamlined, they got back to me in a timely manner during the interview process - I was made to feel welcome during the collective interview days Cons - One hangout interview ended awkwardly, there was no goodbye...more of ok, I'm done with my questions. A sentence to explain that someone will reach out to me for next steps in x days would have been appreciated. - I was asked the same question 3-4 times. It concerned me that note sharing was not happening - Noticeable lack of diversity within the org - I struggled to connect the dots in how the interview process worked. There was a group activity, a few 121s, single person exercise - but nothing connected this together - The role felt partly like an admin role and I wish they were honest about this but none of the specialists was able to consistently answer my question of what this role looks like every day - When I asked for feedback after removing myself from the interview process, I had to chase 3 times and got the notes 2.5 months later. The notes were feeling based rather than providing concrete examples and this really made me feel frustrated. For an organisation that has so many rounds of interviews, it's really important to provide evidence based feedback as that information will be useful for the individual who gave up so much time for the process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Google DeepMind in Sept 2022

      Interview

Got 6 interviews with various members of the team, focused on checking and validating my skills for a fixed role at DeepMind. It was an overall positive experience, while a bit of a drag.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: how did you resolve a conflict between the team members? Q: how did you manage stakeholders, and if you can give us an example of a problematic relationship?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Google DeepMind (London, England) in Nov 2020

      Interview

One of the best interview experiences I ever had. Everybody was extremely friendly and sharp. All the questions I received were relevant for the role and totally aligned with the pillars of the PM. My recruiter was excellent, always on top of things, and her proactivity always kept aware of everything. Everyone of the interviewers were with kind and tried to make me feel relaxed so I could perform the best.

      Question 1

Questions about the PM pillars but in the format of situations. - can't go further that this due to NDA.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google DeepMind (London, England) in Jul 2020

      Interview

HR reached out to me to ask me to interview with them if I was interested in the role. Process: 30 min competancy based interview with HR rep, then interviews with the team, group exercise and whiteboard exercise. I only went to the first interview. It took them almost 2 weeks to let me know I was not able to proceed to the next stage (they were nice about it though). However, I had to chase them for an update as I thought it was quite unprofessional to leave me waiting that long for an answer (it felt like they had forgotten about me, so at least a holding email following the interview could have been nice).

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1st interview (video: - tell me about yourself and your experience? - what are your main takeaways from your project? Is there anything I would have done differently? - What tools and methodologies do you use to track progress? - What do you think will be your main challenges when you join? - How do you enable teams to ensure the team has the right opportunities? How do you maximise opportunitites?
