      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs

      Interview

Initial 1hr phone interview with an Executive Director - mainly reviewing CV and a few technical questions, was given an overview of the role and the team. No "What do you know about Goldman? Why do you want to work here? Why are you moving on?" style questions at all. Within about 1 week I was called in for an onsite interview consisting of 5 x 1 hour interviews (with a 1hr break between the 2nd and 3rd interview). Each interview had 2 interviewers, some were local and some were remote via video-conference, some were directly part of the team and some were more loosely aligned. Interviews consisted of in-depth technical questions relating directly to either the role or to items from my CV. In 5 hours of interviewing I was not asked one question about Goldman, the only sort of non-technical question I was asked was along the lines of "What was your worst mistake at work."

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Bengaluru)

      Interview

I interviewed for a VP Software Engineering role at Goldman Sachs few months back and the experience was disappointing. The recruiter’s communication during scheduling and follow-ups felt rude and unprofessional, which was surprising for a firm of this reputation. The technical rounds focused heavily on data-structures and graph coding problems despite the senior leadership nature of the role. While I explained my approach, I couldn’t fully complete the implementation within the time limit. Most concerning was the lack of any feedback or follow-up after the interviews. I didn't even know what happened. Overall, this was one of the least professional interview experiences I have encountered.

      Question 1

Some graph dsa problem if I remember.

      Interview

The process takes a very long time, but the interviews were friendly and positive. Had to talk to about 4 people and their schedules and vacations made it more drawn out.
