Generic rejection e-mail after 6 stages.
The whole process took long - 5 month and included these steps:
1) HR screening call - 0.5h
2) Hiring manager call (Product manager) - 1h
3) Hiring manager call again (Product manager) - 0.5h
4) 10 pages case study including SQL, prioritization approaches, some business analysis - 10h-12h
5) Case study review - 2h
6) Hiring managers call (Product manager& VP of Portfolio Management) - 1h
7) Call with a Product manager of another team - 1h
8) Generic rejection e-mail that took me 15.5h-17.5h. When I asked to elaborate on rejection reason and get some constructive feedback ,I was simply ignored.
Throughout, feedback was delayed multiple times and the team repeatedly said they were “looking for a perfect fit" – which felt like they were not really planning to hire anyone
