I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
The interview is a long day that feels like consulting for the people who are not quite experience in my area of expertise. They kept asking questions that they are dealing with for their projects. There are a few friendly people with also a couple of strange ones.
Other Senior Scientist interview reviews for Gilead Sciences
I had a day long Zoom interview, and talked to 13 different individuals, which seemed a bit excessive as I found myself getting asked similar things and repeating myself throughout the day.

Describe time you disagreed with someone and how you handled it
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences in Dec 2015
Interview
First off had a telephone interview with head of talent, then a face to face with the hiring manager, then a phone interview.
The screening phone conversation was very CV based, not difficult at all, the 1:! interview with the manager was more in depth about how I would get on in the role, what experience I have had in that specific area. the last phone call was very random!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences (Oceanside, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Flight to oceanside. In person interview with presentation. Unfortunately HR communications were rushed and led to the team pursuing another candidate while I was traveling. Great science but lackluster handling of candidates.
