Recently completed a phone interview led by an HR Recruiter. It was approximately 30 minutes in length and consisted of typical questions. At the end, salary expectations were discussed and I flipped it back and asked whether a range had been established. The Recruiter gave an encouraging answer explaining that they are different and consider individual skills, experience, etc with a lot of flexibility. I then told her of the range of other roles I’m considering and it became clear this was a more junior role and not a good match. Overall, it was a positive experience.
