Whole process has lasted almost three months now with no answer.
First step was a phone screening with the Recruiter. Next was the hirevu thing they do. After that, I had 2 one hour video interviews with 4 people total in groups of two. GM is big on the STAR format so good to know that as behavioral questions are what they are interested in.
After those interviews, reached out and was told there was a case study. For the case study, was given a bunch of data and told I had the weekend to provide a recommendation for a fictitious scenario and send a powerpoint presentation and worksheet for all calculations.
Then, they decided last minute I would present the analysis and presentation to the same 4 people I interviewed with.
After the presentation, they said they would be deciding soon, making it seem like the next week. Then weeks passed, I followed up, more lip service. Then the Recruiter stopped answering me and I saw the position was reopened up. What was most frustrating is that I was told I would receive feedback regardless of being selected or not, which I have not gotten yet.
I put 20-25 hours into the whole process and was extremely disappointed in the lack of courteous.
GM is a great company, but not worth putting in 25 hours of unpaid work and prep with no dignity in the end.
