I initial met with a recruiter and she was super relatable while made the experience comfortable and pleasant.
My second interview, I met with the Head of Product. He explained the interview agenda and said he was going to ask me questions for 35 minutes and I would have a chance to ask my questions in the last 10, which unfortunately was not enough time.
He mentioned he felt like this should be a conversation because this is as much my decision as it is theirs. Although, there wasn't a real opportunity to interject and ask questions considering the format he had laid out prior to the interview. The questions were not tough ones to answer but I didn't get any feedback and we moved on to the next one. Then he asked me to ask my questions, and I had about 5 questions. I got through three of them. After his answers, he would say "I think I answered that well enough, any other questions?" So there was no dialog or conversation at all.
When the time was up, he said he had another meeting and basically said he would entertain another question but I didn't comfortable asking anything too in-depth because of the time constraint. He quickly answered and he said thanks if I had other questions to email them, waved at me, waited for me to respond and quickly hung up.
I did send him a follow up email and asked some questions I felt were super relevant. He didn't respond and two days later I was rejected.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gatsby (CA) in Feb 2021
Interview
I had a series of individual interviews with the recruiter, head of product, and 2 designers. The recruiter was really personable and was able to answer a lot of my initial questions. The product and design interviews consisted of behavioral and design process questions. Each interview felt very conversational and gave me a sense of how the team works together. I felt like I was given very honest answers about how the company has reorged in the past year, and the challenges the product team is working through. Overall, I was really happy with the process and enjoyed each of my interviews.
