I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Gap (Robinsonville, MS) in May 2011
Interview
I submitted an application through GAP.com. I got a call back within two weeks and met with one of the hiring managers at the store I would be working at. Upon arrival, I was told to look around the store to get a feel of what GAP was all about. I then went to the back, storage area, for the face to face interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you were faced with a difficult customer and how did you handle it?
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
