An employee within the company forwarded my CV and portfolio (when the company announced they were recruiting artists) and I was contacted within the day by the HR.
The first stage was painting a character concept with a pet or follower within their environment (from home). I was given 4 days to complete the concept - a finished polished illustration.
I was then approved for the second stage: drawing at the game studio. The task was similar: a character posed within its environment. I was given a place on the creations' floor: a PC, tablet and working copy of Photoshop and 2 days to complete the task while people were working on their assigned projects around me. That was probably the most challenging part of the process.
My second illustration was approved and I was contacted from HR within a week to come to the office again for a interview. The interview felt informal as they've already made their minds about hiring me.
