Let me start out by saying that ultimately, this wasn’t the job I thought I was applying for. I think they mislabeled the job. But, I figured I’d write about the process because it was a very positive one!
I applied online on their career page. I got an invite the next day for a phone screen with a member of HR two days later. She was very nice and friendly and talked about the role in broad terms while also discussing salary and benefits. I was then contacted a week later for another interview, this time a zoom call with my would-be manager. The zoom call was going well until I realized the role was different from what was initially described and knew it wasn’t a good fit for me. If it had been the right role, they said I would’ve had another zoom call with another manager in Paris (their HQ) and then the decision would have been made after that.
I ended up writing the HR rep the next day explaining how I felt it wasn’t a good fit but that I appreciated the opportunity to interview with them. She wrote back a friendly note wishing me the best on my job search.
While I’m disappointed it wasn’t the role I thought it was, I am very impressed with the interview process and how responsive and friendly they all were. Hopefully one day I’ll find the right role, because they really do sound like a great place to work!
