This was easily the most insulting interview process I've ever been through. However, it gave me good insight into the way the marketing department works, where everything is done by committee and nobody ever has to take responsibility for anything.
What I was told was a three-step interview process stretched out to five one-hour interviews without explanation. There was no rhyme or reason to the process, as I was asked the same questions every time. In my final interview with the CMO, I was asked questions that were impossible to answer without knowledge of the company's inner workings and politics.
After that, I waited a month for an answer. The recruiter gave me one deadline after another that came and went, never providing updates unless I chased her down. When I finally at long last got the answer, I was told there would be no feedback provided. So for a two-month process, one month just waiting for an answer, I couldn’t get some basic courtesy and appreciation for my time.
