I was reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The job description was extremely vague, with generic marketing tasks. When I asked the recruiter about what the listing meant by "Occasional travel required throughout the region" I was told to ask the gentleman I'd be interviewing with...who I expected to be in the first interview the recruiter set up. Instead, it was just me and the recruiter, who still didn't have clarifications for my question.
I made it to the next round, where I was finally able to ask my questions about the travel expectations, and whether I needed my own vehicle, to the gentleman the recruiter mentioned.
He seemed enthusiastic about the role and was then able to give me great detail about the expectations. Seemed like an exciting role and all went well in the interview. He told me that I would be making it to the next round of interviews with the team and the recruiter would set it up.
A day later, 7PM EDT, I received an email from the recruiter asking about my availability Monday and Tuesday (it was Thursday night). I responded by saying Monday would be best as I was off work and I had a large window open to meet; I also asked for clarity on the interview length as it seemed it would be three 30-min meetings, and it wasn't clear whether it was consecutive or not.
Friday night (late again), I was emailed to provide my availability for Tuesday as they couldn't set up for Monday; and, still didn't address my question.
I gave my availability and asked again for clarity on the interview time slot(s).
Since then I've been ghosted. Both the recruiter and the gentleman, I interviewed with, have not responded. No word as to why, nothing.
