      Senior Advisor Interview

      23 May 2020
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Forrester (London, England) in Dec 2019

      Interview

This was a lengthy and thorough interview process starting with an initial HR screening followed by several stages that included Webex interviews with the hiring manager (US based), face-to-face and Webex interviews with peers and key senior stakeholders and a final presentation simulated customer engagement scenario. Once passed the HR screening and the initial hiring manager interview it felt as if they wanted you to be successful with the job offer. This was an unusual but very positive experience and if you were serious about the job like I was a great opportunity to create your own success. Discussion were open and friendly and even for the final interview I had the opportunity to test my ideas and do a trial run with the hiring manager. How fantastic is that? The key point here is to use this opportunity and not to ignore it (as apparently some people do). This is just as much part of the interview process - How do you research, how do you solicit feedback and collaborate with others, how do you apply learning etc.? I applied via LinkedIn but I think the difference that got me noticed over the other 200 odd applicants is that I managed to get an employee referral. I think that helped get me noticed by the hiring manager and past HR.

      Senior Advisor Interview

      21 Nov 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Cambridge, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Forrester (Cambridge, MA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

The process seems to be pretty standard based on other Forrester reviews. There are 4 rounds. (1) An HR Screening, (2) a conversation with the hiring manager, (3) in-person sessions with multiple people on/around your potential team and (4) a final presentation/exercise where you can "try on" the job prior to receiving/accepting an offer. If you make it to the final round, the job is yours to lose or win. Be thoughtful about how you prepare and make sure you are highlighting your best qualities. Fortunately, everyone wants you to do well. The recruiter and hiring manager were extremely transparent and communicative throughout the entire process.

      Senior Advisor Interview

      16 Apr 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Singapore
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Forrester (Singapore) in Apr 2018

      Interview

It was tough, 7 rounds in total with various stakeholders but I see the objective in meeting with all of them. Round 7 was a presentation and discussion facilitation exercise based on one of their reports. The coordination and support provided throughout the process was tremendous. I like the quick 30 minute interviews that were short but considerate. I can see each interviewer tried to ask different questions from the last and they ensured I had enough time for questions. They felt more like conversations than interviews. The recruiter was very responsive and even called me before the exercise to see how I was getting on and if there was anything she could help with. All in all a very thorough but exciting experience.
