Applied online and received a call from the hiring manager. Video interview with the same manager one week later as I was based out of state. Was asked to sign NDA before the video interview, but the questions asked were essentially the same revolving around the Formlabs SLA technology. I had a solid understanding of the technology due to my background and the research I had performed prior to the interview, and was able to answer all the questions accurately. The whole process was very professional with prompt communication at every step. My only gripe is that when I was asked ideas to address existing limitations in the print process, what the manager was really after was an incremental and immediately implementable solution although I was told I could go completely wild. Hold back on sharing radical/groundbreaking ideas if you really want to work for them as it will likely throw them off. As soon as I shared the "radical" idea based on thorough research (from their patents and other research papers), the interview was cut short and I was told I would hear back soon and I got a rejection in a few days. Unfortunate but in a way I'm glad I realized how Formlabs really approaches innovation.
